Creating and testing your first campaign
An email campaign sends a message to subscribers in one of your Mail Penguins lists. Test your message before sending it to the full list.
Create your campaign
-
Open Campaigns in your customer workspace and click Create new.
-
Enter a campaign name that helps you identify it.
-
Select your subscriber list and, if needed, a segment.
-
Follow the setup steps to enter your sender name, sender email address, reply-to address and subject line.
-
Choose an existing template or create your email content.
-
Save your progress.
Send a test email
Use the test-email option in the campaign editor to send a copy to an email address you control.
Check the message in your inbox and on a phone. Review the subject line, sender details, spelling, images and links. Check that the unsubscribe link and sender information are included.
If you make changes, send another test before proceeding.
Review before sending
Confirm that you have selected the correct list or segment. Check the sending date, time and the time zone shown in the application.
Only confirm the final sending step when you are ready for the campaign to reach your subscribers. Sending a test email does not send the campaign to the full list.
If your test does not arrive
Check your spam folder and confirm that the test address is correct. If it still does not arrive, ask your administrator to check the delivery server and any error messages.
